Cooking Instructions for Whole Free Range Chicken
Preparation (10 minutes)
1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (fan 170°C) or gas mark 5.
2. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and season inside and out with salt, pepper, and your preferred spices. Add fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, or a lemon wedge inside the cavity for added flavour.
Roasting Method
1. Place the chicken on a rack in a roasting tin, breast side up, and brush with olive oil or melted butter.
2. Roast for 45 minutes per kilogram, plus an extra 20 minutes. For example, a 2kg chicken will need approximately 1 hour 50 minutes.
3. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should read 75°C in the thickest part of the breast.
Serving Tip
Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving to lock in the juices. Serve with roasted seasonal vegetables and gravy for a hearty meal.

Your item will arrive in a 100% recycled box lovingly packed with FSC-certified shredded spruce from Britain and Sweden, natural sheep’s wool insulation and non-toxic chilled gel packs, all of which can be reused, composted or recycled.
To recycle the gel packs, simply cut a corner and dispose of the contents through your normal domestic waste system, as the gel isn’t harmful to the environment.
Better still, reuse them by storing in the freezer and chilling other products.
The only component from our packaging that can’t be recycled are the foil liners which need to be go in household waste; the poly bags meat comes in needs to go in plastic recycling.

Received the Easter Box as a competition prize. Had no idea what to expect inside but what a lovely surprise it was. A full Easter Sunday lunch with everything provided and a recipe card as well.
