Cooking Instructions:
Oven Braise (recommended): Preheat oven to 160 °C / Fan 140 °C / Gas Mark 3. Season and sear shanks in a little oil until browned. Transfer to an ovenproof casserole dish, add stock, wine, or sauce to cover halfway, then cover tightly with a lid or foil. Cook for 2.5–3 hours, turning once, until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
Slow Cooker: Brown shanks in a pan first, then transfer to a slow cooker with sauce or stock. Cook on Low for 7–8 hours or High for 4–5 hours until tender.
⚠️ Always ensure lamb is cooked until the meat is tender, juices run clear, and the internal temperature reaches at least 75 °C.
