The Black Farmer Beef Silverside is a lean, traditional roasting joint with a deep, balanced beef flavour that delivers comfort, confidence, and consistency on the table. Cut from the hindquarter of grass-fed British cattle, it’s a dependable choice for slow cooking and family roasts that bring everyone together. Honest meat, accessible quality, and flavour that speaks for itself.

Oven Roast (Recommended):
Remove from fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
Preheat oven to 180°C (Fan 160°C) / 350°F / Gas Mark 4.
Pat the joint dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
Heat a little oil in a large pan and brown the joint on all sides.
Transfer to a roasting tray. For extra moisture, place on a bed of onions/carrots and add a splash of stock or water to the tray.
Roast uncovered for:
20 minutes per 450g (1lb) for medium
25 minutes per 450g for well done
Cover loosely with foil and rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.

Keep refrigerated below 5°C. Suitable for freezing. Defrost thoroughly before cooking.

Vacuum-sealed for freshness and convenience.
